Coffee, cats and chill
Nestled in Annerley, a southern suburb in Brisbane the Lucky Cat Cafe holds the corner space on the edge of Ipswich Road and Villa Street. With onsite parking, merchandise and a small selection of cake and coffee, this is the cat-lover's cafe with an extra special twist.
For a small $14 per hour, guests at Lucky Cat Cafe are offered the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the resident rescue cats. These cats were carefully selected by the incredible staff at the cafe (in partnership with Brisbane Valley Cat Rescue & Kitten Kapers Rescue) as kitties with the kind of personalities that would suit their lifestyle in the cafe, so we can safely assume they're loving it as much as we are! The cafe advocates for a number of cat rescue societies, and while their adult cats are not up for adoption, they play host to a number of bubbly kittens that are available to select for a forever home. How sweet!
After sipping on a "Cat White" coffee with my fellow cat-lovers, I entered the room to be greeted by the local escape artist, Goliath. The staff at Lucky Cat Cafe ran through the rules and introduced each cat with a name and an anecdote of who they are.
