LUCAS Restaurants have launched their own delivery service with the launch of ''. Now you can get food delivered from Melbourne's most innovative restaurants, including Chin Chin, Hawker Hall, Baby Pizza and Kisumé (Australia's best contemporary Japanese restaurants). With restaurants doing it tough, they have needed to rationalise the cuts of up to 35 per cent purportedly taken by delivery companies, such as Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

Organising their own delivery service means restaurants only need to charge customers $5 for the deliveries and more profits go back to the restaurants that need the boost in funds to keep going. The service is not trying to replace the traditional restaurant experience as they ultimately want people back in their venues, but while under lockdown, they have launched this delivery service which will help keep hospitality workers employed.

Making lockdown 2.0 a little easier, Lucas Restaurants Room Service is available to order seven days a week via www.lucas.online/room-service which is powered by DoorDash. Delivery is available within four kilometres of the restaurant's location for a flat fee of $5. You will also go into the Six Weeks of Survival prize draw - running until September 13.
Guests can check their delivery eligibility via the restaurant's websites:

•Chin Chin CBD via www.chinchin.melbourne. Available daily from 4pm.

•Chin Chin Richmond via www.richmond.chinchin.melbourne . Available daily from 4pm.

• Kisumé Richmond via www.richmond.kisume.com.au . Available daily from 4pm.

•Hawker Hall via www.hawkerhall.com.au. Available daily from 4pm.

• Baby Pizza via www.babypizza.com.au . Available daily from 4pm.

• Kisumé CBD via www.kisume.com.au Delivery available from Friday 31 July.

To sweeten the deal, LUCAS will also soon launch a loyalty program to reward those ordering direct.

Pick-up is still available at Chin Chin (CBD and Richmond), Kisumé (CBD and Richmond) Hawker Hall and Baby Pizza.

Continuing its commitment to supporting the community, LUCAS is offering all health care workers 50 per cent off the bill for direct pick-up orders made via phone or in-venue.

Those looking into helping the hospitality industry, as well as sourcing great food, should also look into Fair Feed deliveries - a chance to eat restaurant-quality meals made by top chefs from the safety of your home. It involves hospitality workers from some of Melbourne's other best-known restaurants including Bistro Garçon, Revolver Upstairs, Stokehouse, and Cumulus. They have a local and metro delivery service.
