Writer and freelance graphic designer. Having fun exploring this beautiful city of ours!

Set close enough to the sea to get a view of the ocean, this reserve has plenty of play equipment to keep the kids interested. There are climbing spiders, nature inspired structures to explore, swings and a slippery dip.

Lucas Reserve

A little along the marked cycle path and you'll find a grassed picnic spot, basket ball courts and exercise equipment overlooking Wanda Reserve and that great view of the Tasman Sea.

Exercise equipment

There are no bathrooms at Lucas Reserve, but a little walk down the beachside Murdock St, will find you at the Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club's state-of-the-art block and the scenery along the way is well worth the walk.

Walking path

Lucas Reserve is wonderful for a family day out or the fitness fanatic. You can go for a run or a cycle, play a game of basketball and then finish it off with a circuit on the exercise equipment, or enjoy a leisurely picnic while kids entertain themselves on the array of interesting equipment.
