In today's world, loyalty programs are everywhere, from coffee shops to shopping outlets, from pharmacies to hotels, you will have to be living under a rock if you have not already heard about at least 10 different loyalty programs. In this sea of loyalty programs of all flavours, colours and types, it becomes quite difficult to identify and adopt the most lucrative ones. This article is an endeavour to bring to you some of the best loyalty programs, prevalent in Melbourne.

1. Priceline
Priceline Sister Club is a wonderful program which earns you points for your purchases in Priceline. Membership is absolutely free and can be procured by filling out a form at any Priceline store. Points accumulate at the rate of one point per $1, provided that you have spent at least $5. You will receive a cash back rebate voucher of 3% for every $100 spent in a quarter. If you fall short of receiving a cash back voucher in a certain quarterly period, your points get rolled over until you reach at least a $100 spend.

Apart from being the first one to find out about special offers, as a valued member of the Priceline Sister Club you will often be privy to the numerous free events held by Priceline throughout the year. These free events often bestow on the patrons free makeup consultations, makeup demonstrations as well as fabulous goody bags teeming with a wide assortment of free beauty and skin care products.

2. My ChemistMy Chemist membership is by far my most favourite loyalty program. Membership is free and can be obtained by completing a membership form in any My Chemist store. You accumulate points for every dollar you spend at My Chemist which can be redeemed for discounts on your future expenditures. Further, as a valued member of My Chemist you will usually score freebies every time you spend $30 or more. I have been rewarded with free glass sets, knife sets, container sets and a range of other delightful freebies in the past.

3. The Coffee ClubThe Coffee Club's VIP Club membership usually costs $25 but sometimes they run promotions entailing free membership. The range of offers is extensive and includes buy one, get one free (for all hot drinks) everyday, 10% off the price of all food and other drinks on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, the opportunity to win amazing prizes every month. At the end of every month, VIP members are automatically included in a draw to win one of eight $100 The Coffee Club Cash vouchers, just by visiting The Coffee Club (and swiping your card). It is imperative to remember that you must always swipe your card to go into the draw.

4. Flybuys
Flybuys is another favourite loyalty program of mine. Flybuys membership is free and open to all Australian residents over the age of 18. You score 1 point for every dollar you spend on your trips to Coles and their partner outlets. These points can be redeemed for a huge spectrum of gifts from the Flybuys store. Flybuys points will expire if you do not earn or redeem your points for a period of 12 months. You should only get Flybuys if you already shop at or intend to shop at Coles and the partner outlets. Learn more about Flybuys by visiting Flybuys For Dummies.
