Event:
A 'Thaitastic Festival not to miss out on
Experience the culture of Thai with this fascinating and exciting Festival and witness Parramatta River Foreshore come alive with lights, colours and energy as the Loy Krathong Thai Festival luminosities this multicultural suburb!

Be taken into the world of Thailand with the festivities and decorations throughout the event. Some of the activities will include traditional Thai demonstrations, exhibitions, performances, food and entertainment.

This magical evening will also showcase delicate crafts and photo booths, traditional Thai music that will echo the air, impressive fire dancers, stunning firework displays as well as water fountain display. Also make sure you take part in the sunset ritual of launching candle-lit Krathongs on the river as you make a wish for good fortune!

There will be interactive workshops, showcases of culture and traditions, arts and crafts, roving performers, Thai boxing demonstrations, and much more live entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

Experience the colours, lights and of course flavours of this exotic culture with the many delights on offer. Try the scrumptious fusion of food from across South East Asia and sit back relax as you watch the spring sunset as you try something special from the Thai Beer Garden.

In Thai, Loy means to float while Krathong is a floating vessel that is usually made from banana leaves and is decorated with flowers, candles and incense sticks. And this November you will be able to experience this as the Krathrongs are floated down Parramatta River!

Be sure to add this to the calendar and be part of this magical evening of cultural fun.

The best way to get to the event is by public transport, however, there are several carparks located near the Festival. See website for all information on 'getting here'.
