Christmas is just around the corner, and the Loxton Lights Festival will be back this year starting from Saturday the 25th of November 2017. The town of Loxton, in the Riverland region approximately 250km northeast of Adelaide, lights up during Christmas time each year with twinkling fairy lights, colourful banners, sparkling garlands and tinsel.

The festival begins with Light Up Day, a free whole-day community event featuring entertainment, amusements, children's activities, markets, shopping, food and fireworks. A Christmas tree stands dazzling in the heart of town. Residential streets sparkle with homes covered in illuminated Christmas scenes, paintings and light displays. You can get the suggested lights route from their website.

Christmas Wonderland is the star of the festival. This enchanting private display consists of 30 illuminated scenes which stretch over 250 metres. Other amazing festival events include Santa's Walk, Christmas Tree Festival and Santa's Cave.

So, take some time and head over to Loxton this Christmas.
