Native birds playing in the trees

Osprey House Environmental Centre will host the 2012 Lowlands Festival. This will be a fun free family event with native animal presentations from Geckoes Wildlife, Radical Reptiles and Ocean Life Education. There will be native plant packs to give away and be prepared for a bird watching adventure.

Osprey House Bird Watch -

There will be a lucky door prize offered by Springers Solar of a 1.5kw Solar System. Kids can have their face painted, make a bird nesting box and lots more. Apex is offering a BBQ lunch on the day or you can BYO picnic. It will be great opportunity to explore Brisbane's unique mangrove habitat.

Osprey House Children's Corner -

Osprey House Environment Centre has some interesting educational exhibits including a real Osprey nest and webcam, learn all about local Dugong lifecycles, live worm farms, re-use and recycling ideas, edible bushtucker plants, koalas and migratory birds. Kids will love looking out for wading birds as they watch from the secret "bird hide" - interpretative signs help identify which bird is which.
