Well here it is, the best kids playground around Sandgate. A well built 'hut style' playground with slides, tunnels, webs, swings and toys in the sandpit, right on the waterfront. Location: Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe, just down from Park Parade.

But hey, who said this was a playground for kids only? Often on my morning walks I often 'spot the adults' in this playground and they are either stretching on the steps, doing sit ups with legs on the ramp or using the structure for general body stretching. I have also seen personal trainers with their clients early in the morning, using the pad around the playground to lie down and exercise, as it is slightly cushioned for a 'bit of outdoor comfort'.

However, later in the morning and during the day, it is the kids that 'claim their space' and as they should. If you haven't been out this way approximately 20 kms, north of central Brisbane, you must come. The waterfront esplanade around Shorncliffe (right down towards Sandgate and Brighton), is gorgeous. BBQ facilities, plenty of trees and shelters for shade, it is just a fabulous 'place to be'. Shorncliffe Pier is just to the left of this park.

We love this park too - it is just great to have a splash in the sea and play on the creative equipment.
