Four low carb alternatives
My body LOVES carbs. It loves them so much that it likes to store them as fat and hold onto them forever. I try to keep carbohydrates to an occasional treat, however sometimes you just can't avoid fast food. So for all my carb-conscious friends out there, here are my favourite low-carb fast food options.

Canberra's favourite Mexican restaurant.
My friend's adore Zambrero so I constantly find myself there.

I was always a huge fan of their burritos however I've found myself a new option; The Bowl.

You can get all the flavour of a Zambrero's burrito in a bowl.
To truly make it low-carb you need to ask for the bowl without the rice, however with flavorsome sauces and salsas you don't even miss it.

How can a store that gets you in the door with the delicious smell of baking bread be a low carb option?

Recently I discovered that you can get all the Subway goodness without the bread. Subway now has subway salads, which is basically your favourite sub in a bowl.

You get all the same salads, meats and sauces as you would in a regular sub but without the added calories.

I find this option just as filling and just as tasty as a normal Subway sandwich.

Wok It Up
When you think of Wok It Up you tend to associate noodles and rice.

The 'build your own" option allows you to get all the vegetables and meat you like minus the carbs. Otherwise just ask for one of the menu options without the rice or noodles. I've always found that they are willing to oblige.

Micky D's is possibly the hardest option to go low carb.
If you can't avoid it, then put down those fries and big mac there is an option.

You can always ask for a Cheeseburger with no bread and a garden salad. Then you just chop your cheeseburger into your salad. This is a cheap and easy option
