Pack your picnic rug, Melbourne Shakespeare Company will be performing Love's Labour's Lost at Central Park in Malvern East this March.
Love's Labour's Lost is the story of King Ferdinand and his three right-hand men who, after one too many wild nights, promise to abstain from women for three years just moments before meeting the women of their dreams. This play is full of mischief, comedy and misadventure and suits all ages. The fun and games don't stop there! This adaption is set in the classic nineteen-forties with local Melbourne references, live music, ukulele solos, singing and dancing. I attended The Melbourne Shakespeare Company's performance of Romeo and Juliet In December last year and was not disappointed.
Central Park Gardens in Malvern is an ideal setting with its lush Edwardian style and guests are encouraged to bring along a picnic to enjoy in the sunshine or under the stars.
The show runs for 90 minutes and you can either watch the show from the chairs and cushions provided or bring a picnic rug and stretch your legs. Tickets are very reasonable at $30 adults / $25 concession & seniors / $20 kids (under 5 years old are free). Sun wear is recommended for matinee performances.
