The Galleon Theatre Group proudly presents the Australian premiere of Love & Hours, written by Stephen Metcalfe at the Domain Theatre this autumn.
Running for a strictly limited season, from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 31st of May, 2014, Loves & Hours presents an engaging exploration of relationships - from what love is all about to those many hours we devote to love.
Directed by Erik Strauts, the comedy drama tells the tale of Dan Tilney; a newly divorced, empty nester, and a man now totally at a loss as to what to do with the rest of his life.
But Dan's meddling friends know exactly what he needs - a girlfriend. Will it be Charlotte, beautiful, bursting with life and twenty years his junior? Or will it be Julia; his life long friend and confidant.
And what about his teenage son who is having an affair with a neighbour? And his ex-wife who has announced she's gay?
What about his best friend, Harold, - who is going through a mid-life crisis and his daughter, Rebecca, who is seemingly furious with everything and everyone.
In this gentle comedy, life and love are complicated for young and not so young alike.
This anticipated production features a wonderful cast, including Andrew Horwood; Simon Lancione; Shelley Hampton; John Koch; Laura Antoniazzi; Sharon Pitardi; Adam Dalby; Bronwyn Ruciak; Megan Langford; and Rosie Williams.
