I retired to Florida, but can't keep my feet still, or my pen full of ink. Find me eating, playing, traveling, and then telling the world about it.
Hurricane season begins in southwest Florida on June1st. Just to fly in the face of possible wind and rain, "
Rockin the Bay" pushes their luck for one last FREE concert of the 2013-14 season on Saturday, June 7.
From 5:30 PM to 9 PM, tribute performers take the stage at Bayfront in downtown Naples, Florida to perform the music of Spring Springsteen. "The Boss," as Springsteen fans know him, has been singing and playing rock and folk inspired tunes on his guitar for more than fifty years. He is a living legend, whose reach touches contemporary musicians who hope to sound and play just like him.
Naples loves vintage music because it strums in the nostalgic hearts of the mostly retired audiences who attend. Lawn chairs are welcome in the open air of Bayfront Plaza. Although a Naples' concert is relatively sedate, there will be room for dancing if the mood hits.
The concert will be done at 9 PM, just as the last of the 8:18 PM sunset light fades. Concert goers will end their musical evening in time to comply with the City of Naples' ordinance prohibiting music after 10 PM.
Food and drink vendors will be there, so no coolers are allowed. Proceeds will benefit The Immokalee Foundation.
