Book 5 of the Black Dagger Brotherhood Vishous
Book five of the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series is Lover Unbound, by JR Ward, following Lover Revealed. Lover Unbound is the story of Vishous, or V for short. Vishous is the smartest vampire within the Black Dagger Brotherhood, handy with any electronic devise, he can also speak numerous languages.

Vishous has a tortured past though, one that is forever trying to escape, and it has meant he has always avoided intimacy. The only person he has ever let get slightly close is Butch. Butch is now a vampire himself, having found out there is vampire blood in him, he is also now known as the Destroyer, the one who can eventually bring the Omega down.

Vishous has not been coping lately. His visions have dried up, he can't read anyone's emotions, and he is haunted by the same dream, which he sees himself get shot and most likely dying.

When he is shot and ends up in a human hospital, fear runs through the Brotherhood that maybe he's met his end. But Vishous survives and when he's rescued, he demands his doctor be bought along.

Dr Jane Whitcomb is the head of the cardiac trauma team and in charge when Vishous is bought to the hospital. She is fascinated by his body, medically speaking, and begins to wonder if he is in fact human.

When she is bought to the Brotherhood's compound, she soon finds herself stuck in a world she never knew existed, and she's not entirely sure she wants to leave. There is something about her patient (V) that she can't put her finger on.

Vishous and Jane soon learn that they share many of the same types of horrors from their past, which brings the two of them closer and may have Vishous finally willing to let someone in he could possibly love. But then his dream becomes all too real......

JR Ward has written another compelling read that is also wickedly sexy and just plain fun. Any fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series will love this book, and finally be able to understand the smarted of all these vampires.
