This time it's Butch's story
Welcome back to Caldwell, New York, with Lover Revealed, by JR Ward, book 4 of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, following Lover Awakened. A great deal has happened since we last saw the brothers. Zsadist is starting to look like the vampire he should, finally drinking from another vampire. Bella is now his shellan (wife) and is pregnant with their first child. Finally, Tohrment has gone AWOL after the sudden death of his beloved Wellsie at the hands of the Lessening Society, which has fractured the rest of the brothers.

Lover Revealed follows the story of Brian 'Butch' O'Neil. It has been a year since Butch was bought into the folds of the vampire world and the constant war with the Lessening Society, and Butch now finds himself caught in the middle with nowhere to go. He wants to help his new 'family' with their war, but they won't let him because he's human. He can't go back to his old life because he knows to much, his memory could never be scrubbed enough. He's back where he was, in a land of nowhere, drinking way too much and wanting out. He knows that the only way for that to happen is with a toe tag and a body bag, and he's almost willing to let it happen.

But then Butch gets his wish, he's thrust right into the middle of the war when he sacrifices himself to save the life of a civilian vampire. Caught by the society and beaten within an inch of his life, Butch comes face to face with the Omega, the evil that creates the members of the Lessening Society, the thing that keeps producing the vampires enemy.

Butch is found by the brothers just in time to save his life, but the Omega has left something behind, something that threatens to kill Butch still. So they bring along Marissa, in a hope that the woman Butch has loved from afar can bring him back from the brink.....

JR Ward has written another can't put down book, with a twist that some may not see coming. Fans of the first few books will find this book just as compelling as the previous.
