Tohr is back with his brothers, but he still wants his love
Welcome to the eleventh book in JR. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. This book is based around Tohrment, who has been struggling with life since the death of the shellan Wellsie and his unborn son.

Returned to the Brotherhood by Lassiter, a self serving fallen angel, Tohr has been the heartbroken shadow of the vampire leader he used to be. He fights, but with a ruthless vengeance bordering on suicidal, still badly wanting to join his beloved. He sees his Wellsie and son in his dreams, trapped in a cold, isolated netherworld - The In Between.

Unsure of what it all means, Tohr turns to Lassiter to help him save his beloved, but Tohr isn't prepared for the resolution. He has to learn to love another, and the direction he's been pointed in leads straight towards Xhex's mother.

And with all this going on, the Band of Bastards, a group of rouge vampire hunters, has arrived in Cadwell, and they have their sights set on Wrath and his throne. Not exactly what the Brotherhood needs with the war with the lessers going on still, but at least the bastards are taking out lessers as well.

Can Tohrment let his Wellsie go and allow another into his heart? Will the Band of Bastards accomplish their goal of overthrowing Wrath?

Once again JR. Ward takes her readers on an erotic, wild adventure that's hard to put down, right til the very last word.
