LoveLeigh Designs maestro Leigh Parlby may have inherited a flair for crafty creations from her Nanna, but her flights of fashion fancy have always taken her into a realm which is uniquely her own. While others were scrimping and saving for the next pair of JAG jeans, teenage Leigh was combing her favourite op-shops for the next fifty-cent dress to make over. While others were flipping through the latest Country Road brochure, Leigh was already building her own ensembles inspired by the texture of a single piece of fabric, or by the feeling a certain unusual colour evoked in her.

These early experiments may have begun with nothing more in mind than a sense of fun and anti-fashion, as well as the belief that women should wear what makes them feel good rather than what trends dictate; but as time and again the question came from friends and strangers alike: "Where did you get your outfit?", Leigh realised that she had, in fact, become a trend-setter in spite of herself.

This same blend of intuition and innovation, along with a firm conviction that any woman will look gorgeous when wearing something that makes her feel happy, is now woven, stitched and threaded into each and every LoveLeigh necklace, bracelet and hairpiece. Since Leigh first started creating LoveLeigh Designs in a converted laundry space underneath her house, fashion-loving ladies of all ages and outlooks have instinctively felt the warm and happy heartbeat pulsing through every LoveLeigh creation, and have returned again and again to markets in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Toowooomba, as well as to the LoveLeigh Designs Facebook page, seeking fashion accessories which they now know are guaranteed to be as distinctive and original as they are.

When the LoveLeigh Designs website launches on April 29th, Brisbane's most interesting and individualistic range of hand-made fashion accessories will at last have a permanent on-line home; and if the LoveLeigh story so far is any indication, this is one cyber-door on which the whole world will soon be knocking.

Maybe you're reading this article having just now reached your wits' end searching for something different among the same old acres of mass-produced plastic. Whatever the case, crafty creator Leigh invites you to be among the first to join her in celebrating the beginning of the adventure's next phase.

A week-long series of sales, special offers and giveaways will mark this special occasion, giving LoveLeigh ladies in Brisbane and beyond the chance to either add some new delights to their collection, or to discover for the first time how the distinctive LoveLeighs range can magically transform an otherwise-ordinary outfit into a fun-filled fashion fiesta.
