This is an environmentally friendly food bonanza where you get to taste some of Perth's best eco-friendly creations. It's going to be an amazing night under the stars enjoying delicious food fare from stalls with a large focus on organic vegan and vegetarian food creations for dinner, using fresh and local produce. Plus there's lots of local retailers with beauty, household, artisan and crafty items.
These are sellers leading the way in Perth for organic, all-natural, biodynamic and eco-friendly products. Leela from Travelling Butterfly will be on board with her eco-friendly products made from recycled plastic drinking water sachets that people drink, in Africa. She's been living in a remote village in Ghana for the past three years, running her own not-for-profit organisation - Leela's Love. It focuses on sustainable projects where she empowers others through training and skills-building to help themselves, their families and the wider community.
Two lovely ladies and great entrepreneurs from EnviroBren and My Urban Essentials whom have been coming to the markets since the beginning, are bringing their wares to share with you. EnviroBren's Brenda is a passionate environmentalist who has been living a cruelty free life and wanted to provide products that are in keeping with her core principals of respecting the planet we live on and having compassion for the animals who share it with us. You'll find 100% eco aware products, palm oil free, organic and all at affordable prices.
My Urban Essentials will give you a taste of yesteryear. Making jams from locally grown products without the nasties, they have chutneys, butters and chilli sauces just like our grandparents used to make. All homemade, fresh and delicious. By making it in small batches, quality and taste are not compromised, and you'll know exactly where your food comes from.
For ridiculously good food, head to Sweet Dream Foods and Suppa Club, who always sell out at the markets. Suppa Club is for soup lovers who live to eat, who want pure, whole foods, and who want the best of home-style cooking but without having to cook. They have over 20 of both hot and chilled soups in 40 retail outlets in WA and cater for events and weddings, and deliver right to your door every week. They still manage to wake up at 4am on weekends to serve their delicious soups at the farmers markets that supported them from the very beginning. You're in luck. They're going to be at the Festival.
Sweet Dream Foods has Perth's best handmade boiled bagels, cake donuts, and bagel sandwiches. They're all about making your food dreams come true. Savoury or sweet, there's nothing like a good ol' fashioned home made bagel packed with love!
