The March with Me 2018 event hosted by Love Me Love You will commence on Sunday 25 March from 6am to 6pm at the Maribyrnong Football Club, Maribyrnong Park, 40 The Boulevard, Moonee Ponds. Registrations are open now! Sign up in teams of 2 or more and bring to life the mantra that 'No one travels their journey alone'. Find out more on the website.

You can choose from 4 options at this one day running/walking event. Stops include Port Melbourne, Brighton, Sandringham and Maribyrnong, depending on which distance you choose to participate in i.e. 60km, 30km, 15km and 5km family event. Grab your family, friends & colleagues and Stand Up, Step Forward and Make a Difference in support of Love Me Love You, a not-for-profit foundation that provides awareness, programs and support to youth mental health.

Mental Health Week highlights the importance of mateship and is the fundamentals of having support from a network of people who care during the tough times. One in five people in Australia suffer from mental illness with suicide being the leading cause of death for those between 15 and 44. Understanding that relying on key people and building a network of support to turn to is paramount, for in the moment, it can be hard to think of who to turn to.

Cost of registration will depend on the distance you choose. The full route and event details can be found on the website.

60km = $140 rego & $350 fundraising ($210) - bag, wristband, t-shirt & lunch/refreshments included.
30km = $110 rego & $250 fundraising ($140) - bag, wristband, t-shirt & refreshments included.
15km = $75 rego & $150 fundraising ($75) - bag, wristband & refreshments included.
5km = $50 rego & $50 fundraising ($0) - bag, wristband & refreshments included.

Your registration goes towards your fundraising and therefore your expectation of fundraising minus the rego is shown in the brackets above. Buses will be available to transport you from the finish line to the different start point if needed.

60km starts and finishes at Marby Football Club, Maribyrnong, with a halfway point at Greenpoint Reserve, Brighton. Start time is 6am for walkers and 9am for runners.
30km starts at Greenpoint Reserve, Brighton, and finishes at the Marby Football Club, Maribyrnong. Start time is 12noon for walkers and 2pm for runners.
15km starts at JL Murphy Reserve, Port Melbourne and finishes at the Marby Football Club, Maribyrnong. Start time is 2pm for walkers and 3.30pm for runners.
5km family event starts and finishes at the Marby Football Club, Maribyrnong (route goes around Maribyrnong River walking track). Start time is 4pm for families.

Start up your team and have others join in along the way, not everyone in your team has to do the same distance but you are encouraged to pick up team members along the way. The important thing to remember is that you need to start and finish together. A Corporate Team package is available for corporate teams that want to get involved. You get a free registration fee with higher fundraising and the opportunity to be involved in a team building event that makes a difference.

The post-event community festival on the same day and at the same place will be between 3pm and 8pm. There'll be lots going on for family and friends to enjoy, including the young-uns. There's face painting, a toddler play area, jumping castle, drinks, food trucks, music and the Easter Bunny making a surprise appearance. Those of you not participating in the walk/run can support the walkers and runners as they cross the finish line.

Until then, happy fundraising. There are tips on the Facebook page if you're stuck for ideas.
