Celebrate same sex marriage at Roma Street Parklands
DiGS Equality is holding a wedding reception for all same sex and gender diverse couples who are awaiting marriage equality. The day starts at 1pm and is a family friend event.
Held as a potluck picnic, bring a plate of food or a full picnic spread and mix with other couples celebrating love on the first Sunday in Spring. Spread out your picnic blanket or camping chairs, relax and enjoy a beautiful day afternoon out in the Roma Street Parklands.
It might not be a traditional wedding, but why not celebrate your relationship with the reception anyway? Everybody loves an afternoon of fun with friends and family in a relaxed environment. Feel free to add whatever glamorous touches to your reception attire and picnic blanket that takes your fancy.
Wedding Toasts will be made by Rob Cavalucci, Rachel Jacobs, Stephen Page, Liv Evans, Dylan Carmichael and many more.
Love certainly will be in the air with so many happy couples celebrating their union. Whether you've been together for one year, ten years or a lifetime, Sunday the 7th September is a day to relax with family and enjoy a wedding reception in your honour.
This event is a family friendly event and as such, everyone and anyone who has the spirit of love is invited to bring a potluck plate to contribute to the communal wedding reception.
