Although they are not all professional musicians (except for Rupert, the violinist), they are all non-drinkers and non-smokers. They all love their music and the sharing thereof.
The Love Finders Band was formed in 2015, drawing from the members' shared love of a wide range of popular and classic music. The band was born of a "nostalgic fondness for the old days", when you could enjoy a great show with friends and family, and watch a band and have a really fun night.
This is a seven-piece band that has almost 100 years of collective involvement in performing live music. They have an eclectic repertoire that ranges from the jazz type music, classic rock from Frankie Valli to Pink Floyd. They also play blues from the likes of Gary Moore and Eric Clapton, and country ranging from Kenny Rogers and The Eagles to Keith Urban and The Dixie Chicks….. plus more!
Michael King, who is on guitar and vocals and has been involved in the live music scene on and off since the early 1980's. Michael is also a qualified toolmaker and mechanical engineer who loves restoring classic cars and motorcycles.
Rupert Guenther is a European trained violinist. Rupert plays many different styles of music from classical to rock, blues and world music.
Rupert is an original solo artist much of the time and has played with many well-known artists and bands over his almost four decades of live performance. He also teaches workshops on personal growth and creativity.
Nathan King who is on bass, is a qualified life coach and aspiring author. He originally started playing bass in high school, and then stopped for a time before once again starting recently.
Dr. Elinor van Ommen, who is on the flute, is a Doctor of Psychology with a holistic healing practice north of Perth. Her flute music adds a special something to the band and she has been performing live for about 30 years.
Faith Ransom, who is the sound engineer, works her magic with the Love Finders Band sound.
Benjamin King is the lighting technician who brings the world of colour alive with the Love Finders light show.
