Love Handmade Markets grows this spring with the launch of Love Eco Markets to showcase Brisbane's greenest makers.
Launching on Sunday 25th October, 9am at Morningside School of Arts, the inaugural Love Eco Markets will shine a light on Brisbane makers who have a passion for being green and making wares locally with care.
Supporting locally made and slow fashion, Love Eco Markets builds on the legacy of her famed market sister, Love Handmade Markets, to highlight eco-friendly products and practices. Love Eco Markets will investigate how things are made and go on a mission to make reusing and repurposing the norm again.
Love Eco Markets will feature 40 Brisbane eco-designers, eco-conscious makers and green innovators making a difference through repurposing materials, creating reusable products and handcrafting wares in Brisbane that are made to last.
Love Eco Markets was created by Janmaree Lowe to inspire green thinking in both the making and buying phases and showcase what is happening in the green made space. "I see a world where we source what we need from local makers, producers and creatives, improving the environment we live in for our own wellbeing, future generations and ecosystems - a return to Australian made. Strengthening local neighbourhoods by supporting our local businesses is more important than ever", Mrs Lowe said.
