Love Handmade Markets grows this spring with the launch of Love Eco Markets to showcase Brisbane's greenest makers.Launching on Sunday 8th November, 8am at Morningside School of Arts, the inaugural Love Eco Markets will shine a light on Brisbane makers who have a passion for being green and making wares locally with care.Supporting locally made and slow fashion, Love Eco Markets builds on the legacy of her famed market sister, Love Handmade Markets, to highlight eco-friendly products and practices. Love Eco Markets will investigate how things are made and go on a mission to make reusing and repurposing the norm again.Love Eco Markets will feature 40 Brisbane eco-designers, eco-conscious makers and green innovators making a difference through repurposing materials, creating reusable products and handcrafting wares in Brisbane that are made to last.Highlights include:Smyle Designs joy-bringing jewellery and accessories made from discarded objects like old records. Giggle Suds soaps and natural skincare to encourage simple, low tox living. Slow Intentions shares ways to live a slower, more meaningful life with eco-friendly and sustainable products for the home. Myclectic will showcase new collections for the first time in 2020 made from recycled, reused or repurposed materials like old leather jackets, interior designer samples and salvaged materials from Reverse Garbage turning them into dreamy accessories and handbags. Gypsy Girl Coffee, the little green environmentally friendly van focusing on Australian made, a part of the responsible cafes network will be serving coffee, tea, chai and hot chocolate plus The Tasty Pocket and Greens on Grains food trucks will be open.Check out the exciting designer line-up here and if you can't make it to the physical event, Love Eco Markets is hosting an online green market edition here .Love Eco Markets was created by Janmaree Lowe to inspire green thinking in both the making and buying phases and showcase what is happening in the green made space.
