Beautiful Moreton Bay views greet you at Lota. Cycle, walk or play, it's the perfect way to relax on the edge of the bay with mangroves lining the foreshore.

Tucked away a short stroll from the cafes and boutique retail at Manly Harbour Village , this quiet cousin to the Wynnum and Manly bayside is the ideal spot for everyone.

Cyclists can take a moment to enjoy the views over to King and St Helena Islands as they traverse the Wynnum Manly foreshore, part of the Moreton Bay Cycle Way.

Walkers can enjoy a stroll along the foreshore past mangroves, marinas and at weekends the markets at Little Bayside Park in Manly. Read more.

Joggers can breathe the fresh sea air and run alongside the waterfront at any time of day. The Lota Park run – a free 5km timed run – meets every Saturday at 7am at the Pelican artworks on the foreshore at Lota Camping Reserve. The route takes you past the mangroves and alongside Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron to the small beach behind.

Families can enjoy the play areas; barbeques and sheltered picnic areas with views out to Moreton Bay with ample space to kick a ball or throw a frisbee.

Bring your own food for a picnic but what better spot to enjoy fish 'n chips than by the foreshore? Barts and the Lota Takeaway are close by the parklands.

For more information on the Wynnum Manly area, check out the visitor website.
