Now that we are heading into spring, and with warmer weather upon us, it is the perfect time to take a day trip and explore our wonderful state of South Australia.

With so many places to visit, why not take a drive to the Adelaide Hills and visit in Hay Valley? Located approximately 40 minutes from Adelaide, the trip is not a long one but is definitely a worthwhile one.

At Lot 100, you will find a fine dining restaurant, a brewery, and even a small grocer shop with plenty of local produce for sale. They can even cater for special events such as birthdays and weddings.

can get really busy so bookings are essential, especially on weekends.

On one fine August day, I specifically made the trip to visit the restaurant and had their long lunch menu, at a great value of just $49 per person, enjoyed with a fruity cider.

This menu consisted of an antipasto plate to share, a main dish, two pizzas, chips and salad as side dishes, and dessert.

If that sounds like a lot of food, well yes, it is. Chances are you probably will not finish it all, however, you can simply take away whatever is not finished.

Enjoy the food, and if time permits, have a walk around the site to enjoy the nature surrounds before you head back to the busy bustle lifestyle of city living.
