i had seen the gulf on another post, and thought - "when we're in the area".
well, we were in the area easter sunday - after visiting the chocolate factory.
we spent hours here and could easily have spent many more hours here. my children loved the way the cottage was set up, with information not only on posters, but printed in unusual places. we also loved that the information wasnt a history lesson from a text book, but rather more like diary entries.
the farm was full of exciting buildings, and a wonderful trip back in time.
the children can visit the live chickens and horses as well.
we will be going back for lost traditions day, so the children can see the equipment in action.
this is a fantastic visit, take a picnic and enjoy it by the hay shed while listening to some music.
allow enough time to also visit the adjoining maize maze, and make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes.
