If you're looking for serious theatre at Fringe this year, look somewhere else, you are in the wrong place. In the words of the men of S&F themselves, "We're not serious, and we're barely theatre."
If you're looking for a workout from laughing so much, you have come to the right place.
Sound & Fury, a three man comedy group now presents their latest creation titled
Lord of the Thrones, a genre based comedy of 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Game of Thrones', which includes the basics of walking and death. Join Frogurt Snark this epic adventure of ravens, rings and dreaded copyright lawyers; traverse the wide landscape of Muddle Earth and sing your heart out at the wondrous Arch and Quiver Inn.
I was pleasantly surprised when I heard that this show would be largely audience based and that participation would be a large part of the action.
Lord of the Thrones is the funniest show that I have seen for a long time and definitely a Fringe must-see. I applaud Richard, Patrick and Ryan on their brilliant masterpiece and commend them on their ability to engage so many people in such a short amount of time.
Lord of the Thrones is basically a 60 minute low budget skit and that is the beauty about it. The group enlists the help of one audience member to play the role of the main character in this epic tale which breaks the fourth wall of performance like no other show before it has ever done.
I would definitely encourage everyone to come along and see this magnificent piece of comedic theatre. This event is recommended for ages 15 and above.
Lord of the Thrones is now playing at the Soba Stadium @ Noodle Palace on the 28th, 29th and 30th of January. For tickets and information please visit one of the onsite Fringe Box Offices or visit www.fringeworld.com.au
