Lord of the Fries are best known for their twice fried chips, made from Aussie potatoes, and their burgers that taste so good most people don't believe that they're vegetarian. However, they've recently added breakfast to their menu, and I think you all should check it out.

If I'm running late for work or uni (which happens depressingly regularly) I often skip breakfast. It's not good for me, I know, but when my choices are a bacon and egg mcmuffin (minus the bacon since I'm vego), or paying through the nose for a piece of fruit at Seven Eleven, I just can't help it.

Lord of the Fries has come to rescue of my belly, with their new breakfast deals. Currently only their Flinders St (7:30am), Swanston St (7:30am) and Elizabeth St (8:30am) stores are open for breakfast, and they only serve it until 11am. Hopefully this will expand as Lord of the Fries see how popular it is. I go to the Flinders St store, and to give you an idea of just how often I run late, Ricky (the store manager) has remembered my name!

They offer four styles of brekky bun, in two sizes. The mini bun costs $3, or $5 with two hash browns. The big bun is $5, or $7 with two hash browns.

The different styles that I mentioned have been named after cities.

The Melbourne: egg, mayo, cheese and mustard.
The Tibet: tofu egg, cheese, mayo and mustard.
The Bombay: curry egg, chilli, cheese and spicy mayo.
The New York: hash brown, patty, cheese, onion, mustard and BBQ sauce.

You can add tomato and soy bacon to any of these at an extra cost.

Like all of the Lord of the Fries food, their brekky options are vegetarian, kosher and halal, and they have vegan and gluten free options available on request.

If you sleep in (a lot!) and miss breakfast, or go to a store that doesn't yet offer breakfast, don't fret. I'm sure you'll be able to console yourself with a cone of their skin-on-chips, and one of their internationally flavoured sauces.

Lord of the Fries has won a 'Best Vegetarian Restaurant' from the Lifestyle Channel and 'Best Hot Chips in Melbourne' from the Herald Sun. They have an easy to read allergen chart , so you know exactly what it is you're eating, and they take eftpos, with no minimum purchase. All this means that no matter what your dietary requirements are, you have no excuse not to check out Lord of the Fries new menu additions.
