Last night (at the time of writing this, after the Australia Day fireworks) a group of young friends found their way to Lord of The Fries on Elizabeth Street right opposite Flinders Street train station. Hot chips made the way for the perfect post fireworks and post hangover remedy. There was a long wait which was expected at any fast food outlet in the city at the same time last night; so you just had to suck it up. Decided to go for a cone size chips, and the serving size wasn't too bad.

It was great that the wait wasn't too long, although the service was quite impersonal. It was great that tomato sauce was included for no extra cost (in most cases it should be complimentary anyway, McDonald's gives away ketchup for free for their chips) yet it was stunning to see the range of different sauces available for purchase from anywhere up to $1-4 extra which is a rip off; however the flavours sound appetising.

I will only go back to this establishment after a hangover and a fun night out. This is where Lord of the Fries serves its purpose.
