The City of Melbourne presents a delicious event to showcase the abundant culinary creativity that calls the city home and tantalise the public's epicurean palate in celebration of Victoria's proud food history and the State Library of Victoria's Gusto! Exhibition.
Tucked away in a quiet little laneway called Melbourne Place off Russell Street, Saint Peter's Restaurant & Bar is Chef Maurice Esposito's endeavour to provide sustainable seafood with strong Italian influences. His success won him the Good Food Guide's Sustainability Award. For the Look.Stop.Taste Food Festival, Chef Maurice is spoil you with a lasagne di casa and a glass of 08 Chestnut Hill Nabbiolo at AUD19.
Named after the patron saint of fishermen (Saint Pietro), Saint Peter focuses on care with ingredients, authentic homemade goodness and good-size portions at fair prices with a casual trattoria feel. Cucina d'Esposito is all about fruit and vegetable from the backyard, meat and fish from the market, home-made pasta, cakes and biscotti that filled Chef Maurice's childhood and family life. Saint Peter's offer is available for lunch between 12pm-3pm on Monday to Friday.
