Everything Greek will be on at this festival
The Lonsdale Street Greek Festival is Melbourne's biggest street party and the longest-running Greek festival. It will bring together some of Australia's most talented performers, dancers, chefs, cooks and competitors for a weekend of fabulous Greek-themed entertainment.
One of Greece's most popular singers, Eleonora Zouganeli, will be the main act of this festival and this will be her first time performing in Australia.
The festival will be on 23rd and 24th February 2019, from 11.00 am till 10.00 pm. The venue will be The Greek Centre, 168 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.
This festival was formerly known as Antipodes and since 1987, it has taken over the historic Greek precinct in the heart of Melbourne, where it will again be set to celebrate the best of Hellenic culture.
Over the years, there have been thousands of performers and dancers who have performed in the streets. They have performed the best in traditional and modern Greek dance, while many competitors have tested their fitness while attempting to dance in the 'Zorba 'Till You Drop' competition in the hopes of winning a trip to Greece.
Some of the Greek entertainment for this year's event will include:
Most of these entertainers have previously had the crowd dancing in the street until the early hours of the morning. Last year, the festival got even bigger when it extended from Swanston Street right through to Exhibition Street. This enabled organisers to have three performance stages, more food and fun for everyone.
This cocktail party will undoubtedly be the best party at the Lonsdale St Greek Festival! The exclusive Greek Community Cocktail Party will be hosted at the Delphi Bank Mezzanine and there will be tremendous food and drinks right through the evening.
You will be able to have premium views of Eleonora Zouganeli in concert on the Delphi Bank Stage or watch the live stream broadcast on the large 5-metre screen in the Mezzanine.
This will be held on Saturday 23rd February at 6.30 pm. Tickets will cost from $80 and are strictly limited so book yours now by phoning 9662 2722
