Darby cafe aint all it's cracked up to be
Longbench on Darby is a nice looking cafe with a nice atmosphere, but the food isn't particularly exciting. My partner and I started with the trio of dips, pretty simply but satisfying . Toasted flat bread with a sundried tomato dip, hummus and tzatziki. The sundried tomato was pretty good but the tadizki was a bit too minty and the hummus was very dry, lacking taste, and texture was more lumpy than smooth.

Trio of Dips

I expected the lentil moussaka to be a nicely layered lasagne type dish. I got a little bowl with lentils in tomato, with a few pieces of eggplant on top. It was a bit of a disappointment. It tasted alright, but it didn't quite match up to what was on the menu.

Partner got a moroccan spiced steak, which looked pretty good and tasted alright. The spicy potatoes with a mayo and sweet sauce were delicious, a plate of them would have gone down very nicely.

We left a little underwhelmed with all of the dishes.
