Looking for a special lunch with wonderful local produce amidst spectacular views of open fields and picturesque mountain scenery?

Then head down to the Lost World Valley in the lovely Scenic Rim on Saturday 21st October 2017 for this unique lunch in a special collaboration between Wild Canary Bistro and Tommerup's Dairy Farm.



In a breathtaking avenue of old Red Gums the scene is set for a fabulous long lunch and farm tour.

This amazing event will include a guided farm tour with Kay and Dave Tommerup - 5th generation farmers - around their historic family property. They are passionate about creating a sustainable future for their farm, establishing a full-circle farming system incorporating the dairy and milk-fed heritage breed pork, which allows them to remain small-scale producers, true to their values.



After the farm tour sit down and relax at the long table set under the cool shade of the old Red Gums. Break bread with farmers and producers over a long, lazy 4 course lunch and learn about their philosophy and practices.



Executive Chef Glen Barratt and the team from Wild Canary at their renowned Brookfield restaurant will showcase Scenic Rim producers. A highlight of this special lunch includes Tommerup pasture-raised veal and a black heritage breed pork fed on a neighbours pumpkins. It doesn't get any more local than that!

This exceptional immersive farm and food experience will include O'Reilly's wine and beer from Scenic Rim Micro- brewery.

LOCATION The long lunch is at Tommerup's Dairy Farm in the picturesque Kerry Valley, part of the Scenic Rim region, and just 75 minutes drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

MINI FARMERS MARKET What you eat on the day, you can buy on the day. Bring a bag, esky and cash to shop direct from the farmers at the mini market.

TICKET PRICE $185 pp includes morning tea, farm tour, 4 course lunch, beverages and booking fee.

THE DAY

10.00 am - Morning Tea at Tommerup Farm - provided by Wild Canary
10.30 am - Farm tour starts with farmers Kay & Dave Tommerup
11.30 am - Farm tour ends, make your way to the table only a short walk away
12.00 pm - Lunch starts - provided by Wild Canary
3.00 pm - Lunch complete
3.00 pm - Mini Producers Market with a collection of local farmers
4.00 pm - Day ends & #8232 ;

STAY LONGER?

There is accommodation available including fabulous glamping tents and farmstay cottages. Glamping in a magnificent bell tent starts at $390 for a couple.
