is a suburb on the Central Coast next to The Entrance located in the peninsula between Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean. It is on the Tuggerah Lake side of the peninsula, with Toowoon Bay on the Pacific Ocean side. It got its name from - you guessed it right - the long jetties that popularised the town.

has 3 extremely long jetties that make up for a good walk out to the shallow waters of Tuggerah Lake. These are Parry's Jetty, Watkin's Jetty and.. Long Jetty! Long Jetty, the jetty not the suburb, is 100 years old and is the longest jetty in New South Wales spanning 351 metres. It is located near Archbold Road. Watkin's Jetty is near Pacific Street and is shorter than but longer than Parry's Jetty, which in turn is near Gladstan Avenue. All three are linked by the Tuggerah Parade and the foreshore cycleway that extends up to The Entrance .

If you are after a nice Instagram photo or a good opportunity to flex those photography skills, is a place to go to. If you are after a relaxing afternoon to unwind, take good walks or cycle leisurely with friends or family, is the place for you. Swimming in the lake is not advisable as the water can be murky when the lake bed is disturbed, but paddling in a kayak or a canoe is definitely a thing to try if you are keen. When we went there, I did not see anyone doing a stand up paddleboard, but the water in the lake is pretty much still so paddle boarding is still an option. Launching from the shore, however, may be an issue because there are no pontoons and the jetties are designed for big boats.
