Trust myself!
Published August 15th 2013
I'm a Chinese and my husband is an Australian, but we got married in Fiji last August. No families attended our wedding. Most people must be wondering why I have got married there.

We were going to get married in October, but the visa officer said it usually took 12 months to get visa. So we had to change our plans. There were 2 reasons: first I was waiting for my visa, so I couldn't get into Australia; then I hadn't seen my husband for 6 months, I wanted to see him.

A visa is not requested for us to go to Fiji and their wedding certificate is admitted by Australia. I heard that some Fijian hotels would arrange weddings for their customers. I searched online and found a hotel: Lomani Island. They only accept adult customers, so it's very good and quiet for honeymoon. They had different activities everyday, you could choose what you like and these activities were free.

We got up on our wedding day and both got dressed. We couldn't see each other until the ceremony. The hotel manager and priest were our witnesses and they signed our wedding certificate. Other travelers gave us their best wishes and clapped for us. After we exchanged our rings, the ceremony was done. The photographer shot video and took many photos for us. We had a good lunch in dining room.

That was a good experience of traveling wedding. I will never forget it.
