No worker here, just a 24/7 bookshed.

I can't be the only night owl out there who is frustrated by the lack of things you can do after a certain time at night. Off the top of my head, these are some of the places I know in the greater Brisbane area that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: Pancake Manor, CBD Pie Face, Jimmy's on the Mall, McDonalds, Hungry Jacks... can anyone take a wild guess as to what all these places have in common? That's right, they're all restaurants!

Cool doodles in the guestbook!

I love eating as much as the next person (probably a little bit more actually). As for my little pug, he loves food more than anything else in the world - those of you who know the breed will understand! I don't know about you, but after 9pm, I would much prefer to do something that didn't involve eating, and didn't involve me having to fork out for parking in Brisbane City. This is where the bookshed comes in...

Look at all those books waiting to be taken home!

Logical Unsanity is a bookshed that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, rain or shine. In this age and day, fewer and fewer people are reading actual books, and are instead reading them on Kindle, listening to them through audio books, or are just stopping reading altogether. There is usually no worker there, just an honesty box. In the owner's words: "pay what you want or can" - what a great incentive to pick up a book again!

Lots of choice!

If you don't have cash with you that day, don't fret, as you can also direct deposit money into their bank account. Their details can be found at the shop, next to the honesty box. You can also donate the books you have finished with, by leaving them at the back of the shop. This helps ensure that there are always new books waiting to be picked up at the bookshed!

Anyone else see 'pug' instead of 'put'?

I doubt you'll find be able to find another 24/7 bookshed in Brisbane, so why not go and check this one out the next time you're struggling to find something fun and different to do at night? You can literally go anytime you fancy!

I've been staying in Brisbane for a few years but I 've never heard about the bookshop. How did you find such a good place to spend the rainy days?
