Creating a healthier world and future
Environmentally conscious? Looking for ways you can reduce, reuse, recycle and live more sustainably? Want your kids to learn more about caring for the environment? Then the Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) 2018 is a must do. This is a fun, educational and interactive community festival with the aim of generating awareness about environmental issues and suggesting practical ways we can all address them. The theme for LEAF 2018 is "Rethink the future".
A FREE event, LEAF will be held at Griffith University Logan Campus, 68 University Drive Meadowbrook from 10am-3pm on Sunday 27 May 2018. There is FREE onsite parking or you can catch the train to Loganlea Station and hop on the free shuttle bus.
Find new ways to reduce your ecological footprint with the festival showcasing a range of exhibitors including eco-businesses, demonstrations and workshops. Wander Sustainability Street and broaden your knowledge of local environmental issues, learn about actions you can take personally and the eco-friendly organisations and businesses you can support.
Popular gardener Costa Georgiadis from ABC's Gardening Australia will be at this year's event and there will be a wide variety of workshops including up-cycling, sustainable gardening and more. Learn practical and fun skills such as how to create a butterfly garden, a chicken-friendly backyard, and how to make your own healthy sugar-free jams, cheese and kimchi.
This event as well as being inspiring and educational offers all the ingredients of a great day out for all the family featuring:
kids activities and rides
