stand alone on the corner of Wembley Road and Jacaranda Avenue at Logan Central. It showcases local talent.

Currently on show are two photography exhibits: One is by local 'storm chaser' Marty Pouwelse: "Beauty of Nature's Fury." These are truly spectacular.

The other, Ever Present: Photographs from the QAGOMA Collection 1850-1975 presents works by unknown nineteenth-century photographers alongside iconic images by the twentieth century's recognised masters of photography.

I was most interested by a showcase of work from the recent art workshops based on Muslim culture, Workshop Wonder XII. The results are outstanding.

Lighting up the room as you enter is a wall of framed marbled papers in glorious colours.

A display of gold painted tiles are exquisite.

I wish I'd attended the 'Self Reflection through mirrored Mosaic' class. That looks as though it would have been great fun. The finished works are all very individual and all very beautiful.

The selection of collages were probably the most fascinating. Some included scraps of text which added to the story. I wanted to hear the stories behind those works.

Children are well catered for with continuously changing programs of fun, interactive activities as well as an annual program of exhibitions that have been created for or by local children and youth

Upcoming exhibits (16 May 2014) will include the children's World Environment Day Competition posters which get used in the annual Logan City Council Calendars.

The Gallery has an excellent shop with a wide variety of quality items for sale.

Opened in 1995 as a community based initiative, celebrates a diversity of arts and presents a dynamic exhibition program. Exhibitions feature touring exhibitions, local artists, visiting artists and works from the Logan Art Collection.

"An extensive range of free public programs is offered and includes guided tours, practical workshops, special events and artist talks. A dedicated Young People's Gallery showcases exhibitions for young people or by young people and provides fun, interactive activities for younger visitors."
