Puffing Billy Railway is encouraging the community to get on board with the release of their annual, unlimited-access Locals Pass.

The passes are available exclusively to residents within a 10-kilometre radius of any Puffing Billy station and provide unlimited return travel on any return excursion train journey for the whole year after purchase.

Imagine being able to travel through the magnificent Dandenong Ranges whenever you wished to with lush fern gullies brushing past and Mountain Ash trees towering overhead.

Puffing Billy rides make for a wonderful opportunity to relax and breathe in the fresh air.



The Locals Pass unlocks everything Puffing Billy has to offer.

There are also great discounts if you have a pass. Examples include:

Train & Lunch at the Packing Shed / Steam & Cuisine Luncheon 20 % discount

Excursion Train tickets for family and friends for bookings of 10 or more people (excludes special events) 20 % discount. Take the family or the grandkids!

Day out with Thomas 10 % discount

Puffing Billy retail items (Valid for in-store purchases only. Some exclusions apply including books and postage) 10 % discount

Food & Beverages from Puffing Billy's refreshment rooms (Valid for in-store purchases only. Excludes alcohol and packages) 10 % discount.

Prices for the year's pass are

ADULT (17 YRS) -$90
CONCESSION -$72
CHILD (4-16 YRS) -$47
FAMILY (2A 2C) -$230.00

It is worth mentioning the incredible savings as this is for the whole year of trips and normally just the cost of one trip is $78.50 for adults and $196.50 for families.

Families

If you have more than 2 children, you can apply for 1 x Family Locals Pass and additional Child Locals Passes in the same request form.

Children under the age of 4 travel free of charge onboard Puffing Billy and as such don't require a Locals Pass. However, they still need to be booked in.

The Locals Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Provides unlimited travel on the Excursion Train's valid return journeys within the 12-month validity period.

When you book your rides in the future. Contact their Customer Service Centre on 03 9757 0700 or by email [email protected] and quote your name, contact details and Locals Pass card number.

The pass is non-refundable, non-transferable, and unlimited tickets cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

To apply for the Puffing Billy Locals Pass, simply complete the Locals Pass Request Form .
