A monthly local market may conjure up images of market stalls on grassy grounds, people walking their dogs, stopping for a coffee, a bite to eat, shopping for fashion, jewellery and so on from artisan vendors...but Yarra Botanica is offering something different. For starters, it's a two-level floating bar and eatery on the Yarra River at Sandridge Wharf, Southbank; North of 4 Riverside Quay, Lower Wharf, Southbank Promenade to be exact. The Local's Market still have a curated selection of vendors who have been handpicked to have you experience the very best in local flavours and ingredients; but it's more of an interactive eating/tasting experience where you taste your way through a selection of delectable specials, meet the local suppliers and of course relax riverside with stunning views each market day.


Held on the last Sunday of each month from 12pm to 5pm, market dates are as follows. Entry into Yarra Botanica is free, and the venue is open 7 days a week, all year round. Bookings are encouraged with walk-ins available.

Melbourne's all-year-round floating bar is connecting you with local producers all winter by hosting said food and drink producers and you get to taste the produce and meet the suppliers. Putting a face to a product is invaluable and really connects you to what you put on your plate. Yarra Botanica is passionate about supporting local businesses and champions Victorian producers with a 100% Victorian beverage menu and a 90% Victorian food menu all sourced from Victoria, and that's saying something. A small percentage of items are sourced from interstate when not available in Victoria.
