Who would have thought that The Local Taphouse, 184 Carlise Street, St Kilda, would serve fabulous international beers on tap as well as a menu to please all appetites?

International Beers on Tap!
Head to the rooftop bar and sample one of many boutique beers, on tap. Over 800 international and Australian tap beers including Hoegaarden (Belgium), Cheeky Rascal (VIC), Caterpillar (Italy), 30th St Pale Ale (USA) and many more, have been served in the past. You can even suggest a beer that they should bring in!

A changing tap menu ensures that you can try something new on each visit. All beers can be matched to your food choice by one of the friendly and hospitable staff. If you're not a beer fan, a plentiful list of wine is also on offer.

Not a regular pub dweller, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, atmosphere, and service. My dining companion chose the Roasted Pumpkin Risotto with mascarpone, thyme & truffled Pecorino ($24) - a healthy serve, creamy and sweet.

I opted for the Roasted Snapper, with Szechuan spiced eggplant, pickled chilli & spring onion ($29). This melt in your mouth dish is highly recommended, matched with a glass of sauvignon blanc.

Seriously great beer and food!
