The Lions Medical Research Personality Quest is the main fundraiser for the Lion Medical Research Foundation. Focusing on raising the much needed funds for medical research and aimed at providing funding to fledgling medical researches, The Quest has a proud history of working with women and focusing on raising much needed funds for medical researchers.
Professor Ian Frazer and his team received seed funding from the Lions Medical Research Foundation through the Quest which enabled them to develop the now world renowned vaccine against cervical cancer, Gardisal.
This, however, is only one example of the great outcomes acheived by the Foundation/Quest research outcome.
Emma Turner, the Sherwood/Oxley Lions Club entrant of 2012, is holding her first fundraiser for the year. A family-oriented event, all are welcome to get a team together and head down on Saturday the 10th of March for a great night of trivia and drinks in the name of a good cause.
