A wonderful sensory playground for children of all ages and abilities
Livvi's Place is a good sized playground catering to a wide range of ages and abilities.
It features accessible structures, sensory play spaces and equipment which allow for physical disabilities, vision, hearing and mobility impairments and autism spectrum disorders and was the first of its kind in Perth when the park opened in 2015.
The sand play area includes a digger, sand table and chairs and a mechanical filling apparatus. This large area is completely covered in sand whereas other areas are covered with either bark chippings or the colourful spongy rubber material.
In the middle of the park is a raised circular area with steps leading to it, a tree in the middle with a path around the tree. Two of the slides come off this area and access is also via a low-level climbing net.
As a grandparent my grandsons are unable to use the park because the play equipment is far to hot during the Summer season it would make a difference if shade could cover most play equipment an awesome play very secure, the children really have fun there.?
