On Saturday the 3rd of November 2018,
Livingstone's Final Garage Sale will take place at Powell Street West in Ocean Grove. The sale will start at 9am and finish at about 1pm and there will be a good variety of second-hand items at bargain prices.
The garage sale is a fundraiser for the
Livingstone House Rebuild Fund, a fantastic project which was established by Heather Hallam and Mark Wilkinson.
Heather and Mark co-sponsor 18 children around the world, including Livingstone in Uganda. Livingstone and his mother, Sarah lost their house due to flooding, so the fund was created to raise money to build a flood-proof two-bedroom house for them.

The previous garage sale in October raised an impressive $3,541.20, and organiser Heather Hallam is hoping that the final garage sale will raise $1,000 to commence building, as the dry season in Uganda is approaching, and will provide the best conditions for building.
In addition to the $1,000 needed to commence building, Heather is hoping to raise an extra $1,000 to purchase furniture items such as single beds for Livingstone and Sarah, a chest of drawers, and lino and grass mats to cover the concrete floor.
