Living Well@Work: Mental Illness, The Workplace and Breaking Down Stigma

Register for the Mental Health Commission of NSW's annual community event, aimed at challenging stigma around mental illness at the Riverside Theatres in Parramatta from 6 pm - 8 pm, Thursday May 26, 2016.

Discussions on the connection between mental health and the workplace will be led by multi award winning ABC journalist and presenter Natasha Mitchell highlighting recovery focused roles, discussing mental health concerns without stigma and support that employers can provide to support an employee experiencing mental health concerns, in the workplace. This event will be photographed and filmed.

The list of panellists on the evening include,

Dr Sam Harvey - Associate Professor in Workplace Mental Health at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and a Research Fellow at the Black Dog Institute.

Rachel Clements - Registered organisational psychologist and the co-founder and director of psychological services at the Centre for Corporate Health Pty Ltd and Resilia Pty Ltd.

Megan Kingham - Manager for Health and Wellbeing at Optus.

John Canning - Partner in a major law firm in Sydney with lived experience of mental illness.

Opportunities for questions, to share experiences and provide audience input will be available.
