Residents of and visitors in Sydney are invited to discover and experience diverse cultures in the Living in Harmony Festival, which is held in March each year. The Living in Harmony Festival is a full program of talks, debates, panel discussions, poetry slam, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural celebrations as well as tours that explore Sydney's multicultural heritage.
Sydney's Living in Harmony Festival coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is held 21 March. It also coincides with New South Wales' Multicultural Month of March which aims to promote, celebrate, and strengthen multiculturalism in the state, inspired by the Diverse Australia Program of the Federal Government.
Every weekend of March in Sydney is loaded with heaps of fun, gourmet food, and diverse colours, costumes, and custom. You are certain to get a fill of different cultures, different peoples, and a myriad of activities, events and exhibitions that promote diversity and harmony.
Mardi Gras, the biggest celebration that promotes acceptance of the LGBTQI community, will be happening this weekend. What better way to start March than with a blast?
