After staying in Rawai, doing a Muay Thai Camp for two weeks, I was looking for a healthy & interesting alternative to the curries or veggie dishes that Phuket does best.

Staff were friendly & I was served immediately - only person there though as it closes at 8pm & I just snuck in beforehand.

I had the burger - a dehydrated pattie of sprouted lentil beans, flax seeds and herbs, placed on a white cabbage 'bun' w/ mayo, mustard, ketchup, cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce and pickles.

You just fold the 'cabbage bun' over and pick up and eat, as you would a 'hamburger', served w/ potato salad. The potato salad is not Western, it's Thai style but extremely tasty - especially if you've been travelling for a while & want to see some celery on your plate instead of rice.

It's just on the right if you are heading to Nai Harn Beach, has great parking, but no view - great shutters though & pillowed seats to stare out at the beach traffic passing by.

Living Food Cafe is more though than just beautiful, raw and organic food - they also sell organic products - shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc - perfect if you want to travel & still look after your ecological footprint.

I usually have acupuncture at home in Australia & herbal supplements from a Chinese doctor - you can visit Living Food Cafe, and pick up some herbal tables for skin conditions to insomnia, and organic coconut oils and insect repellents - all in all, a great find for the health conscious.
