Performance Space is Australia's leading organisation for the development and presentation of experimental art. Hence you can expect a program of new experimental art that'll expand your perspective on what's possible at their LIVEWORKS Festival of Experimental Art that's running from 20-24 October 2021. Taking current uncertainties into consideration, the Festival has an extensive digital program - Live On-The-Line that'll connect you with artists in a meaningful and transformative way and expand your senses as to what live performance can mean in the digital realm.

The two online programs running for the whole length of the Festival are 1) LIVE EXCHANGE Delegate Program and 2) Hundreds & Thousands (Multi-City): Virtual Nursery. Expressions of Interest are now open for participants interested in taking part in the Delegate Virtual Program. Follow the links given to apply and for all details. In a nutshell, it'll be a series of online events and encounters that'll facilitate connection and exchange in these distant times between arts sector colleagues.
Buy your tickets for the Virtual Nursery, which is an exhibition of 100 digital artefacts co-created by plant-lovers and their plants from across the world. You're invited to convene in the Virtual Nursery on each evening of Liveworks, where these artefacts will 'sprout' for 100 minutes per night. It's free to attend with a duration of 100 minutes. If you dare, you can buy tickets to The Order of Autophagia: The supper of terror with artist Natasha Tontey. It's a midnight dinner party, inviting you to consider a perspective on cannibalism that speaks urgently, and with dark humour, to our times. This is a digital event for the duration of an hour, with grotesque and graphic warnings. A participatory dinner, it's hosted on Zoom by the artist.
