Home to international cuisines that span Italian to Thai and Aussie to Vietnamese, Liverpool is on a roll with gaining a reputation as a great place to live, work and learn. It's emerging as Sydney's third CBD and Liverpool City Council is proud to bring you this new event that builds on the liveability of this city.
Liverpool on a Roll sees the council partnering with local restaurants and cafes to deliver the event concept of dishes, sweet or savoury, served in or on a roll. You'll be able to experience some diverse flavours over the course of one big evening.
It's a celebration and caravan of food stalls and trucks that will see the grills and fryers set up in the picturesque Greenway Park at West Hoxton with tasty burgers, banh mi, burritos and a whole lot more, alongside market stalls selling local produce.
Food stallholders confirmed so far are:-
Bellbird Dining & Bar – with 4 delicious bao buns that include a soft shell crab bao with Indonesian-inspired chilli sauce drizzled over cucumber and pickled fennel, a pork belly bao topped with kimchi, kewpie mayo & fried shallots, and a dessert bun
Mac Street Diner – bringing Italian-inspired creations with their signature saucy flavours in tasty meatball sliders and ricotta cannoli
Bun Me Baguette – serving Vietnamese delights that include rice paper rolls, beef noodle soup and banh mi topped with a choice of crispy pork, grilled chicken or stir-fried beef
Crossroads Hotel – dishing out pub-style bites, along with a fillet steak and salad sub topped with a blue cheese miso sauce
Black Elk Espresso – plating up classic cafe bites and sweets with the likes of tasty eggs Benedict rolls with pork belly & chipotle Hollandaise sauce, beef burgers, doughnut balls, deep-fried ice cream and, of course, coffee
Cream'd Ice Cream – selling tasty desserts that take inspiration from Thai-style ice cream rolls
Further food vendors will be announced soon. You can keep up to date via Facebook or the council's website.
All food items will be capped at $12, making it very reasonable for families. Multiple ATM's will be onsite to utilise and many stallholders will have EFTPOS facilities.
A pop-up bites and beer garden with Pimm's cocktails adds to the scene, along with garden games and live entertainment under the stars. Giveaways also feature.
Plenty of seating is available in dining areas or you can pull up a rug and enjoy a picnic overlooking the picturesque park pond as the sun sets. A designated smoking area is also available.
Roll up for this easy to get to event on 30 March, between 5pm and 10pm. The park is close to bus stops serviced by several routes to transport interchanges at Liverpool, Bonnyrigg, Glenfield and Edmondson Park. Visit Transport NSW to plan your trip via public transport. If driving, free parking can be found across the road at Carnes Hill Marketplace. Limited accessible parking is obtainable next to the event site.
So enjoy the diversity in the delicious eats and celebrate time together with family and friends.
