If you've ever wanted to know what foods you need to consume, in order to heal that liver, then you have come to the right place. Perhaps you might have consumed a little too much caffeine, and/or you might have endured a few too many alcoholic night outs, and now your liver is starting to feel a little sluggish, and/or may not be functioning as well as it should. Some of the top foods that will help your liver in staying healthy and vital follow. Remember to also consume plenty of water:



1. Artichokes

A great digestive aid, and is a food full of antioxidants. Cynarin is the main antioxidant causing this food item to be a top liver friendly treat. Equally as beneficial to the liver, this particular food is also great at reducing cholestrol levels.

2. Beetroots



Aim for the real, raw deal, as opposed to beetroot that comes out of a tin can. Nothing wrong with beetroot from the tin, yet the less processed this vegetable is, when it comes to cleansing the liver, the better. Beetroot is great to enjoy with any vegetable juice at any great juice bar in your city. Perfect with salads. The betaine in beetroots is fantastic for a liver detox experience.

3. Garlic

Helps produce bile, which is fantastic for cleaning out the liver. Although quite strong in flavour, this vegetable is a great way to kill off any unwanted bacteria in the body. A fantastic addition to soups, and helps eliminate any unnecessary fats in the liver.



4. Broccoli

Eat your greens has never become so fashionable, and your liver also benefits. This vegetable helps the liver produce enzymes that assist in flushing out those nasty toxins out of your body.
