I am a natural movement & outdoor enthusiast who is always on the lookout for ways to incorporate physical activity into my life. My perfect day would combine outdoor movement, great food & convivial company.

Have fun, meet people and get fit - all for free
Live Life Get Active is a council and/or corporate-funded organisation which organises fitness classes to promote a healthy lifestyle and enable people of varying ages, body shapes and fitness levels to get outdoors, meet new people and try out different types of activities - all absolutely free.

They have a "go at your own pace" philosophy. Classes are for people aged 18 years and over. Strictly speaking, your toddler or child can only attend if there is another adult supervising them whilst you exercise. However I have been to classes where a quiet child or baby has been in a pram next to their mother without any issue.
I have enjoyed going to their Yoga and Cross-training classes and have found the instructors to be very qualified, friendly and accommodating of all fitness levels, and are happy to suggest modifications to the exercises if required. Other classes available are Boxing and Walk2Run.
All equipment is provided (including yoga mats in the case of yoga classes). Classes are limited to a maximum of 25 people and it is essential to make a booking on their website before attending a class.
To participate, visit their website to register and book into a class. To register, you will need to answer several questions about your fitness and health goals, and they will provide you with a tailored nutrition guide.
