Live July hosted by Nillumbik Arts is a program of 36 live-streamed events featuring 47 artists. Celebrate the richness of some of these amazing creative talents via 2 FREE online workshops a week apart with Australian contemporary visual artist Samantha Thompson. Based in rural Victoria, this accomplished artist exhibits in a range of galleries internationally and works from her home studio in Lethbridge. Workshop details are as follows. Fri 10 Jul 2020 from 10am-11am - Up-cycle your Kids' Art - a 40 min workshops on how you can repurpose all your kids masterpieces. From creating your own seedling labels, bookmarks, veggie labels, hanging mobiles, artist books and greeting cards using your children's (or your own) artworks.
Fri 17 Jul 2020 from 10am-11am - Printmaking at Home - explore how everyday objects can be used to create gorgeous artworks. Using leaves, flowers, fruit, toys etc, learn to create an impression on paper and turn them into personalised greeting cards, wrapping paper or more for family or an event.
Materials required for both workshops - a stack of art on paper; a variety of papers; glue; scissors; a laminator (A4); and pencils.
